HOW TO APPLY (International students)

STEP 1: Choose your course

Choosing a course of interest is the first step in your journey towards academic success and a rewarding career. Our admissions team, along with our registered education agents can counsel you in choosing the right course and answering any questions you might have.

STEP 2: Check the important dates

Sheridan College’s academic year is broken into three trimesters.

Undergraduate Courses (Diploma + Bachelor Level) have intake dates in January & September each year.

Applications close 1 week prior to Orientation Days. Please see our Academic Calender for specific dates.

When choosing a suitable start date when applying outside of Australia, please allow enough time for the processing of the enrolment and your student visa approval.

STEP 3: Check you meet the course entry requirements

To be considered for a place in a Sheridan College course, you must meet the specific entry requirements.

Every application will require additional key documents to be provided. These include:

Our Checklist on page 2 of the Application Form also includes further documents that may be applicable to you and your circumstance.

Depending on your home country you may also be required to submit extra documentsto the Department of Immigration in relation to immigration requirements.

You can review your requirements at the Department of Home Affairs Document Checklist Tool.

STEP 5: See if you are eligible for course credits

If you have completed studies in Australia, or in studies in English, in your home country, you may be eligible to make an Application for Credit Transfer for units completed at a bachelor level or for relevant courses completed at the Diploma or Advanced Diploma level. If you have completed units of study at a post graduate level in Australia, or studies in English, in your home country, you may be eligible to make an application for credit transfer for units completed (please follow the link above).

Eligible students will receive a reduction in the units required to complete their course.

STEP 6: Confirm your financial obligations for your course
